I am very grateful for my experience with Theatre Garage Project and for the opportunity to learn from and to interact with Ashwath Bhatt, the founder (who is an NSD & LAMDA graduate).
Firstly, I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn under the outstanding Indian and international theatre trainers without the need to travel out of Delhi. Of course, all the TGP-organized workshops that I had a chance to attend were tremendous fun (what else would you expect when you attend a clowning workshop?) I apply the acquired knowledge and skills DAILY – in my professional work as a healer, hypnotherapist and a workshop trainer. The art of theatre clowning is a serious business!
Secondly, I admire the TGP philosophy and the way the group gives back to the society in the form of service. A clown can change an atmosphere in a hospital or an old-age home. A clown has the power to reflect back to the society its shortcomings – in a funny, inoffensive way. Laughter can heal and make peace, laughter helps people to discover their own nonsense.
Thirdly, the TGP team are good people to be around with and they are talented and entertaining performers.
Theatre Garage Project is raising funds to acquire their own space for the Humor Factory Studio. Any contribution is welcome. They are on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/theatregarage/.
